SCODY Announced as Official Apparel Partner of Triathlon New Zealand Age Group Team

Amazing news! SCODY has been appointed the Official Partner of the Triathlon New Zealand Age Group Team under a brand new three-year agreement. We’re aiming to further strengthen the collaboration between SCODY and one of the world’s most well-respected age group triathlon programmes.

The new agreement will see us supplying a variety of race suits, team uniforms and all associated apparel for the New Zealand Age Group representatives as they compete on the world stage.

Supporting New Zealand Age Group Athletes on Their International Endeavours

Triathlon New Zealand oversees one of the World Triathlon’s strongest age group systems. Each year, the best athletes qualify to represent New Zealand at World Triathlon Championship events through domestic racing pathways, including the Tri NZ Suzuki Series.

Under our new partnership, we will provide official tri NZ SCODY branded apparel for athletes competing at major global events. The new kit will debut at the following events:

2026 World Triathlon Age Group Championships Pontevedra (September 25–28)

2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Abu Dhabi (November 14–23)

These championship events attract top amateur competitors from around the world across both standard distance triathlon and multisport disciplines. Of course, this means the performance apparel at this level needs to meet strict standards for comfort, durability and race readiness.

What the Partnership Includes

This brand new three year agreement covers:

Official race suits for New Zealand Age Group athletes

     Team uniforms and presentation apparel

Associated performance garments for international competition

Official Partner status within the Triathlon New Zealand ecosystem

The new kit will be debuting at the 2026 World Championship events, marking the first time New Zealand Age Group athletes compete in the Tri NZ SCODY race apparel.

Performance Apparel Designed for Elite Age Group Competition

Age group athletes competing at the World Championship level face conditions that vary from European late summer racing to Middle Eastern heat. Therefore, their sporting apparel must perform consistently across swim, bike and run segments while meeting federation regulations.

Here at SCODY, we design and manufacture triathlon apparel in Australia with a focus on the following areas:

     Fabric research and technical development

     Athlete testing and refinement

     Aerodynamic panel construction

     Comfort across long course racing

Reliable fit across male and female categories

Our race suits that will be supplied under this agreement are engineered to support all the athletes through high intensity competition while maintaining comfort over the extended race durations.

Leadership Perspective from Triathlon New Zealand

Triathlon New Zealand CEO Pete De Wet welcomed SCODY to the organisation’s partner group, noting that the agreement reflects Tri NZ’s commitment to enhancing the experience for age group athletes.

The governing body has placed strong emphasis on ensuring athletes are supported not only in their qualification pathways but also in the equipment they receive when representing New Zealand internationally.

Anna Russell, Tri NZ General Manager of Community, highlighted both garment quality and operational service as key factors in the partnership decision. The athlete uniform ordering process, sizing support and delivery logistics form a critical part of international team preparation.

This focus on service aligns closely with SCODY’s operational model, where direct manufacturing control allows for consistent quality and structured delivery timelines.

Our Commitment to Athlete Service and Manufacturing Control

We’re proud to operate from our facility in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane. Unlike big brands that outsource full production to offshore facilities, we’re proud to maintain direct involvement in the design, pattern development and garment production processes.

Our manufacturing structure allows us to provide:

Quality oversight at each production stage

     Controlled sizing standards

Clear communication channels with governing bodies

Structured delivery schedules for team apparel

We want to focus on making the athlete uniform process as straightforward as possible. We believe competitors should be able to focus solely on preparation and performance rather than tricky uniform logistics.

Looking Ahead to 2026 World Championship Events

The 2026 World Triathlon Age Group Championships in Pontevedra and the 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Abu Dhabi will mark the first international showcase of the Tri NZ SCODY kit.

Athletes qualifying through domestic events will have the opportunity to represent New Zealand wearing apparel designed specifically for championship racing conditions.

As qualification pathways continue through the Tri NZ Suzuki Series, the partnership provides certainty that athletes will be supported by a structured, experienced apparel provider.
